Leading specialists in the field of genetics, working on the basis of one of the most respected Italian research institutes, some time ago launched a joint project with initiative farmers in the Republic of Cyprus.

As a result of general research and selection experiments, the program participants were able to create an amazing product - a new variety of wheat with high productive characteristics.

The new species was called “Re Alexi”, and it is already known that this culture will show remarkable resistance to various kinds of climatic anomalies.

According to Kostas Cadiz, who heads the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Cyprus, Re Alexi will make a real sensation in the fields of the whole world.

Now this variety is considered the pride of Cyprus, but the creators of the new generation of wheat will be happy if their offspring settles on the fields of different countries and allows farmers to make a breakthrough in the cultivation of grain.

It is noteworthy that the “parents” of the new variety were two classic varieties of wheat, on the basis of which Re Alexi was developed. Italian breeders emphasize that an innovative variety is able to autonomously neutralize the negative impact of fertilizers on crops.

Thus, Re Alexi will enable farmers all over the world to significantly increase field yields.
