Bakers complain that grain has risen in price. Officials say that bread will not rise in price.
Bread producers from different parts of Russia - Rostov Region and Krasnoyarsk Territory - announced an increase in bread prices by 8-12%. Companies from Krasnoyarsk “Yarkhleb” and “Dikhleb,” which announced the upcoming increase, believe that there are many reasons for it. Among them, the fall of the ruble, an increase in the minimum wage by 20% since May 2018, an increase in taxes and prices for flour, fuel, packaging and other ingredients. As a result, it was not retail chains that responded to their statement, but the Federal Antimonopoly Service. She promised to check the Krasnoyarsk companies.
At the same time, the Russian Guild of Bakers and Confectioners announced that there would be no dramatic increase in bread prices. 3-4% maximum.
