On April 16, 2019, in the city of Lyon (France), the Ukrainian and French delegations signed an important Memorandum on the development of cooperation in creating effective and operational means of professional training for workers in the veterinary medicine industry.
The document was signed by the State Food and Beverage Service, Belotserkovsky National Agrarian University (BNAU) and the National Veterinary School of the French Republic, Institute of Higher Education and Research in the field of food, animal health, agricultural sciences and the environment (VetAgroSup).
In order to fully implement the stipulated agreements and to ensure a systematic approach on the basis of the BNAU, it is planned to create a Training Center for Veterinary Inspectors of the State Food and Beverage Service. Methodological support for the Center for the Training of Veterinary Inspectors will be provided by the National Veterinary School of the French Republic. Within the framework of the Memorandum, both state veterinary inspectors and other veterinary specialists will be able to improve their professional level.On April 23, 2019, Chairman of the State Food and Beverage Service Vladimir Lapa held a meeting with representatives of the BNAU to discuss the status of implementation of the Memorandum. From the department, the first deputy chairman Andrei Zhuk and the head of the distance learning sector Natalya Kostina also took part in the meeting.
The BNAU was represented by: Rector, Academician of the UAAS, Doctor of Economics, Professor Anatoly Danilenko; Academician of NAAS, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor Mikhail Rublenko; Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor Vladimir Sakhnyuk; Associate Professor of the Department of Epizootology and Infectious Diseases, Candidate of Veterinary Sciences Taras Tsarenko.
The meeting participants discussed the state and problems of continuous improvement and retention at the appropriate level of professional competence of specialists of the State Food and Beverage Service, staffing of public authorities and best practices for improving professional competence.The participants agreed to develop partnerships and to combine as much as possible efforts to create favorable conditions for the further development of distance learning of specialists of the State Food and Beverage Service.
To constantly maintain an appropriate level of professional competence of specialists of the State Food and Beverage Service, experts from the National Veterinary School of the French Republic, professors from BNAU and other higher educational institutions, specialists from research institutes and accredited laboratories who have been trained in areas and have certificates of trainers from international organizations (OIE, FAO, etc.). All participants in the process will be able to effectively apply their professional knowledge, practical skills and experience to increase the effectiveness of training.
