In the period from January 1 to July 1 of the current year, over two hundred twenty-nine tons of meat and bone meal were launched on the territory of the Russian Federation by local producers.
Such information was shared by representatives of the Federal State Statistics Service. The department also emphasized that the current figures are almost seventeen percent higher than the production of a similar product in the first half of 2018.
It should be noted that last month, domestic producers jointly produced about thirty-seven and a half thousand tons of meat and bone meal. For clarity, it should be noted that this is almost seven percent more than in May of this year and almost ten percent more than in June of the previous year.
It is important to add that meat and bone meal is prepared from raw materials obtained by processing carcasses of agricultural and other animals (both dead and unsuitable for food production), as well as from waste from fish processing and meat processing production.
Raw materials for meat and bone meal are poured with steam, or boiled, then dried and crushed.
It is noteworthy that over the past two years, the smallest volumes of meat and bone meal production in the Russian Federation were recorded in April 2017 - then only twenty-eight thousand four hundred tons were released to the market.
And the highest production figures for this product were recorded in May of this year, when the figures reached forty thousand two hundred tons.
