The rate of decline in milk production in January-February of this year amounted to 1.6% compared to the same period in 2018. Milk production decreased to 1.14 million tons, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

The country's enterprises produced 434.8 thousand tons of products, which is 0.5% more than for the same period in 2018. In the general structure of milk production, their share is 38.2%.

At the same time, household farms produced 704.9 thousand tons of product in the first two months of this year, which is 2.9% less than in January-February 2018. Some of them account for 61.8% of the total structure of production. .

The largest amount of industrial milk in the first two months of this year was produced in the Poltava region. This region gave the country 66.1 thousand tons of milk, which is 2.9% less than the same period last year.

Earlier it was reported that condensed milk continues to lose its customers. Moreover, this process occurs not only in Ukraine, but throughout the world. Due to the ever-decreasing demand for the product, its production rate is falling. This situation is associated with changes in the gastronomic preferences of the modern consumer.
