Hydrangea (hortensia) is a bright representative of the Hortense family. Data on the number of species of this flowering plant is very different - numbers from 30 to 80 are given. The variety Pink and Rose is a panicula panicle hydrangea.
Description of appearance
Pink and Rose is a neat shrub with expressive lush inflorescences in pink colors. Due to the external characteristics and growing characteristics, this variety is gaining more and more popularity among gardeners.
Did you know? The Latin name of the plant is Hydrangea, which translates as “a vessel with water,” because hydrangea is incredibly moisture-loving.
Inflorescences
P&R has broadly pyramidal powerful inflorescences with large flowers. The diameter of the flower is about 15 cm, and its length is 25-30 cm. This unusual shrub is able to transform during prolonged flowering. At the beginning of the season, its flowers have a snow-white color of petals.
Then bright pink tones appear in the palette - the pink base of the inflorescences harmoniously combines with the white crown. And by the end of the season, the color becomes raspberry pink. It was this ability that determined the name of the variety.
Leaves and shoots
The shoots of this shrub are tubular and incredibly strong. Due to their endurance, they do not droop even under the weight of voluminous and heavy inflorescences. Large green leaves are formed on the stem, covered with soft nap below. The shape of the leaf is oval, with a pointed tip and slightly noticeable veins.
Dimensions and shape of the bush
This variety of hydrangea is distinguished by large "dimensions". Strong stems can reach 130 cm in height. The shape of the crown is round. The diameter of the bush with lush inflorescences is usually more than a meter - 110-120 cm.
Variety Characteristics
Without much effort on the part of the gardener, Pink and Rose is able to grow and bloom without transplanting up to 40 years. Loamy soil with increased acidity is optimally suited for this variety. It must be fertilized and moistened, however, the plant does not tolerate stagnation of water.
Panicled hydrangea is planted in spring or autumn - it all depends on the climatic conditions of the region. The warm climate allows you to plant a bush in the fall, so the seedlings have time to take root before the onset of cold weather. If frosts come early, you need to wait until spring, when the soil warms up well.
Due to the fact that the branches of the bush "turn green" quickly enough, it can be considered winter-hardy. This variety, without prejudice to development, tolerates frosts without additional shelters. However, if you take care of the shrub and cover it for the winter period, it will bloom earlier and more abundantly.
Be sure to shelter young plants or absolutely everything if the climate is too harsh. Flowering continues from mid-July to the end of October.
Important! Planting hydrangeas in partial shade will contribute to longer and lush flowering.
The multi-colored hydrangea Pink Rose will decorate and diversify any garden plot with its flowering. And the unpretentiousness and endurance of the plant will delight gardeners.
