The best minds of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography have prepared a recommendation program for workers in the fishing industry of the Russian Federation.
Based on the provisions laid down in this program, this year, Russian fishermen can safely catch about 460 980 tons of fish belonging to the salmon family in the waters of the Pacific Ocean.
The press service of the Pacific branch of the research department shared this information with the public. As experienced experts in the field of fishing suggest, this year Russian fishermen have every chance to catch about forty thousand tons of sockeye salmon, at least nine thousand tons of coho salmon, about one hundred sixteen tons of chum salmon and at least two hundred thousand tons of pink salmon, and also tons of other fish.
It will not be superfluous to note that when drawing up the advisory program, VNIIRO scientists took as a basis those data that were collected by experts during marine expeditions over the past few years, and also studied the materials of the researchers' reports on spawning grounds and during juvenile migration. In other words, many years of experience and the meticulous achievements of Russian oceanologists make it possible to make the most accurate forecasts in the fishing industry.
