On an area of one and a half hectares in Vinogradov, Transcarpathian region, there is a plantation, which contains perhaps the largest collection of exotic fruits. Various exotic plants are grown here, from grapes to persimmons and figs, and they all ripen at different times.
Overseas plants are cultivated by Natalia Martyshinets. She knows everything about each of the grape varieties, because she planted and cherished it personally.
Now there are more than 150 varieties. In particular, her collection has a unique Japanese grape whose fruits are recognized as the sweetest in the world. They have a caramel flavor, but can only be reached here in the mountains.
Last year, the grapes were glorious, and this summer the crop will be half as much. Diseases that came with overseas fruits also had a negative effect. But the apricots this year showed just an abnormal harvest: branches broke under the fruits.
Currently, kiwi and figs are ripening on the slopes of the Black Mountain, and such exotic weather is not good for these exotic fruits, so you have to constantly water the plants. Figs are useful for people with thyroid disease, as it is rich in iodine. Now the second crop of this fruit is ripening.
Natalia can boast of persimmons, her crop will be harvested from September to November. All these plants have chosen the Black Mountain microclimate, and most importantly, for the plants to feel good, they need to be looked after with affection and love.
