Family farm "Scherbich" (Vinnytsia region) launched a new dairy farm for 432 heads of cattle in loose housing.
The dairy farm is equipped with GEA equipment: Global 90i brand parallel parallel milking parlor, which is designed to simultaneously milk 20 cows.
The farm is currently holding 340 cattle, of which 140 are dairy cows. But, according to the head of the economy, Ivan Shcherbich, by the end of this year, Shcherbich is going to increase its population. The main breed is black and white, which is improved with holstein.
Previously, the farm had animals kept on a leash, they milked on a milk pipe. Animals got used to the new type of maintenance and the milking parlor in three days, the head of Shcherbich noted.
“Investments in a new farm began to return quickly to us. After all, when milk was milked and the content was on a leash, they received an average of 15-16 liters. milk per cow. Since the launch of the new farm, although a little time has passed, we managed to reach 21 liters. milk yield per cow.
Significantly decreased the number of mastitis, improved milk quality. Now we produce extra class milk, the dairy immediately raised the price by 10%, ”said Ivan Shcherbich.
