The Ministry of Economy of Armenia summed up the results of trainings on projects for small and medium-sized farms “Smart Animals”.
Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Gabrielyan held a discussion on the debriefing and evaluation of the results of the training course “State support for the construction or reconstruction of small and medium-sized farms and their technological assistance”. Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan also participated in the discussion.
Cattle breeding has been developed in Armenia since ancient times, endemic sheep breeds bred from the Armenian mouflon were already mentioned in the 9th century BC.
The survey was conducted with 104 beneficiaries participating in the courses from May to November 2019. Five-day training conducted by the National Agrarian University of Armenia is a prerequisite of the program.
Hayk Ghevondyan, Head of the Agricultural Consulting, Innovation and Monitoring Department of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, noted that so far 131 beneficiaries have taken part in the training of the program, 28 of which have signed contracts.
An expert of the Department of Agricultural Consulting, Innovation and Monitoring presented the research methodology, purpose, objectives and recommendations presented by the participants. The main recommendations were to organize the best and practical training courses and include a representative of the Ministry in the list of instructors.
At the end of the meeting, recommendations were made to improve the program.
