Based on information shared with a wide audience of farm market analysts by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, today a ton of fodder corn in the country costs livestock farmers an average of 11.9 thousand rubles.
It is noteworthy that this indicator is 0.2% lower than last month. At the same time, in the same period of 2018, farmers laid out 4.28 thousand rubles per ton of corn for livestock production.
It is important to note that in the early days of 2019, a ton of fodder “popcorn” for Russian animals was 23% lower than now.
We add that the fodder corn reached the lowest price limit in the period from January 2017 to May 2019 at the end of spring 2018 - then it could be purchased for only 4.19 thousand rubles.
The upper price limit is still relevant now - the cost of a ton of fodder corn has not changed since March of this year and is kept, on average, at around 11.9 thousand rubles.
It will not be superfluous to recall that fodder corn is an excellent addition to the daily diet of those farm animals and birds that belong to the so-called "meat" breeds and are fed for subsequent slaughter and production of meat products.
