In Zaporozhye, phytosanitary inspectors conducted 129 inspections in the field of quarantine and plant protection and identified 105 people who violated the legislation on quarantine and plant protection.
State phytosanitary inspectors of the Main Directorate of the State Food and Beverage Service in the Zaporizhzhya region in the first half of this year conducted 68 scheduled and 61 unscheduled inspections for compliance with the requirements of legislation in the field of plant quarantine and plant protection.
The main violations revealed during the inspections concerned non-implementation of phytosanitary measures, environmentally unjustified implementation of plant protection, removal of regulated objects from quarantine zones that did not pass phytosanitary control and others.
For violation of the requirements of the legislation, 105 people were brought to administrative responsibility and administrative sanctions were imposed for a total amount of 8.2 thousand UAH.
Business entities were issued 158 binding instructions that must be completed within a certain time period to eliminate identified violations under the control of the service. For most of these requirements, violations have already been remedied.
Earlier it was reported that phytosanitary inspectors on the lands of one of the districts of the Chernivtsi region discovered potato cancer, which covered an area of 0.44 ha. And in one of the districts of the Chernihiv region, a golden potato nematode was detected, while the lesion area was 3.59 hectares.
