A delegation of specialists from the plant quarantine department of the phytosanitary safety department of the Main Directorate of the State Food and Beverage Service in the Chernigov region arrived in Kherson region on a working visit to exchange experiences and to improve skills and knowledge in the field of phytosanitary safety, introduce the best domestic and foreign developments.
Chernihiv colleagues visited the Genichesky district, where they got acquainted with the soil and climatic conditions of the region, as well as a list of crops grown on irrigated and non-irrigated lands of the risky farming zone.
As part of the study of the method of plotting the foci of infection with quarantine organisms on the map, the meeting participants analyzed the phytosanitary condition of the Kherson region and the Genichesky district in particular.
They reviewed the filed of the introduced quarantine regime and other phytosanitary documents.
During the visit, guests from the Chernihiv region, together with specialists from the State Food and Beverage Service of the Kherson region, conducted a study of field crops and perennial plantings in order to identify quarantine plant diseases.
Samples were taken for diagnosis in the Kherson regional phytosanitary laboratory.
