On the territory of the Belgorod region, the process of harvesting grain from local fields started ahead of time.

According to employees of the Department of Agriculture in the Belgorod Region, the start of the campaign was postponed a week earlier. And the reason for this was the weather conditions.

The fact is that high air temperature, low soil moisture and the scorching sun accelerated the process of ending the growing season of crops in the region. In this regard, agribusiness experts came to the conclusion that it was time to start collecting grain and hay.

According to representatives of the department, today at least nine districts from twenty-one municipalities of the region are involved in the cleaning process on Belgorod lands.

Representatives of agricultural organizations brought special equipment to the fields, including combines and tractors. And at the moment, at least four and a half thousand hectares have already been threshed. This is only one percent of the total area of ​​fields whose territory covers more than five hundred twenty one thousand hectares.

As for the volumes of grain threshed by today, here Belgorod agrarians can boast an indicator of sixteen and a half thousand tons.
