Based on the fact that today on the market of the Russian Federation there is an active decrease in white cabbage on the shelves of outlets, while demand does not decrease, salespeople without hesitation increase the price of this product.
It is known that the increase in the shipping cost of white cabbage is fixed on the domestic market for the second week.
It will not be superfluous to note that the end of last week was marked for many regions of the country by deteriorating weather conditions, which did not have the best effect on yield indicators. Bad weather forced the farmers to suspend the harvesting campaign in the fields with mid-season cabbage.
Today, weather conditions have stabilized, and farmers have gone to the fields to harvest, but market prices have not yet moved downward, and many suppliers of cabbage, on the contrary, are actively raising shipping prices for white cabbage.
Today, in wholesale markets, the average cost of a kilogram of cabbage varies from ten to twenty rubles, depending on the region. It is noteworthy that this indicator is eighteen percent higher than the average cost of white cabbage a year earlier.
