The incident happened on the corn field of the outskirts of Mirgorod in the Poltava region. When escaping, he wounded them and hooked the car.
On March 13 this year, the police notified the inhabitants of Mirgorod about the attack of a wild boar on women in broad daylight - at 14.45, and asked to remain vigilant. The victims escaped with minor injuries and a slight fear. Hospitalization was not needed.
After some time, the details of the incident became known. The event occurred in the area of distribution of wild pigs. The animal was in its usual habitat. The boar did not attack people suddenly, he fled from them. When he escaped, he injured the women and caught the car. Veterinarians left for the scene. After examining it, they came to the conclusion that the animal was not infected with rabies and that people were out of danger. This was announced by the chairman of the State Food and Beverage Service of the Poltava region, Valentin Pikul.
For information, wild boars love areas with access to water, marshy and wooded. These animals are social, they form large matriarchal herds consisting of females, cubs, as well as young and sick males. Older males live separately and come to the herd only during the mating season. In Europe, scientists have recorded numerous herds of wild pigs, which can be up to 100 individuals.
