Wholesale markets of Ukraine daily increase the supply of cauliflower. As a result, the cost of the product is steadily decreasing, Info-Shuvar specialists inform, relying on data from their own price monitoring.
The cost of cauliflower began to decrease immediately after the product entered the Ukrainian market in early May.
The very first batches of cauliflower were sold at relatively high prices. Traders offered cabbage at a price of 49-55 UAH / kg, which is equivalent to € 1.68-1.59 / kg.But prices gradually decreased and in mid-May their decline only accelerated. Over the past week, cauliflower in the country's wholesale markets has become cheaper at least 2-2.5 times.
Today, small batches of high quality cauliflower in the largest wholesale market of Western Ukraine “Shuvar” in Lviv are sold at a price of 14-17 UAH / kg or € 0.48-0.58 / kg.
Traders sell the remains of lower quality cabbage at 10-11 UAH / kg, which is € 0.34-0.38 / kg. It is noteworthy that the current cost of the vegetable is already 2 times lower than it was in mid-May 2018.Earlier it was reported that, according to forecasts by experts of Ukrainian consumers, an early decline in prices for early vegetables is expected due to the expected increase in the supply of domestic products.
