Entrepreneurs from China signed an interesting contract with Ukrainian farmers - the Chinese rent Kherson lands for a period of seven years for breeding saigas.
The area on which animals will graze reaches 97 hectares. Designers from China will build special enclosures for saigas equipped with “electric shepherds”. In other words, a noticeable discharge of electric current will scare away wild animals and other uninvited guests from the corral.
Saiga grazing will be monitored by external video surveillance cameras.

The project organizers plan to receive electricity for servicing enclosures through solar panels.
Today, the benefits of an innovative pen are already appreciated by 23 saigas, which the Chinese acquired in the Askania-Nova Nature Reserve.
“We believe that with the help of our project we will be able to do two useful things - to take control of the saiga population in the Kherson region and export valuable material to our homeland — the horns of saigas and their skins, and then, possibly, live saigas,” concluded Chinese.
