In the Republic of Khakassia settled insidious agricultural pest - meadow moth.
It should be noted that representatives of this type of insect are famous for their unpretentiousness in food and with pleasure include in their daily diet both weeds and crops that are useful and important for agriculture - sunflower, buckwheat, legumes, cereals, vegetables, melons, watermelons and corn .
Based on information shared by the public at the Rosselkhoztsentr branch in the Republic of Khakassia, special activity of the meadow moth was recorded in regions of the region such as Ust-Abakansky and Altaysky.
Meadow moth
Local agricultural land suffers from caterpillar butterfly caterpillars cramming crops, actively devouring their captives and moving dynamically from field to field.
After the caterpillars of the meadow moth have visited lands with useful crops, the chances that the plants will develop further and not die will be extremely slim. Indeed, in most cases, the attack of meadow caterpillars promises a certain death of vegetation or, in the best case, a serious slowdown in growth.
To protect their lands from the invasion of meadow butterflies, Khakass farmers cultivate their crops with all kinds of environmentally friendly means of protection, using those insecticides whose use is not prohibited in the territory of the Russian Federation.
