Andrei Razin, head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region, said that in the territory of the region entrusted to him, farmers managed to overfulfill the plan for sowing spring crops by two percent.
The minister also emphasized that this year, fields with a total area of more than two hundred eight thousand hectares were sown with spring agricultural plants in total.
This also includes the fields on which the sowing of winter and perennial crops that were killed as a result of adverse weather conditions was carried out.
It is known that fields sown with fodder crops in the Moscow region occupy an area of eighty-six and a half thousand hectares.
Seeds of seventy-one thousand hectares were allotted for grain and legumes. Rapeseed is located on twenty-five thousand hectares, and potatoes occupy about fourteen thousand hectares. Vegetables were sown in fields of ten thousand hectares.
As noted in the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, among the leaders of spring sowing, it is possible to note such municipalities as Lukhovitsy, Zaraysk, Stupino, as well as Serebryanye Prudy and Dmitrovsky district.
